Interview: Dr. Richard "Rick" Henningsen

Ellen - Can you tell us why you came in for a headshot?

Dr Rick - If you can believe it... I actually had a Headshot Emergency in the middle of a crazy day. A publisher had  requested a last minute article from me on a program called "How to Eat and Grow Thin." The race was on... I started writing at 2:30 am completed at 6 am and then she asked for an updated headshot. Thanks to the magnificently talented Ellen Wolff an eleventh hour appointment helped make the deadline.

Ellen - How did you find out about Long Island New York Headshots?

Dr. Rick - Credit goes to google search... Ellen's name popped off the screen and well... the rest is history :-)

Ellen - Where can we find out more about you? Do you have online resources or a website?

Dr Rick - My tree of life has many branches. Here are two: RC Henningsen.com will bring you to my interactive sci-fi authors page; HowtoEatandGrowThin.com brings you to an amazing program designed for rapid weight release without diet products of any kind.

Ellen - What's the best part about what you're doing?

Dr. Rick - The best part about everything I do is the journey and the talented people I meet.

Ellen - Tell us something most folks don't ask and you wish they would.

Dr. Rick - Gratitude changed my life for the better.

Ellen - Do you have a favorite breakfast?

Dr. Rick - I'm a foodie... Eurostyle fresh fruits and cheeses with steaming hot croissants... spinach, feta omelettes or eggs benedict or florentine.

Ellen - Red or white?

Dr. Rick - Pink!

Dr. Rick - Thank you for the opportunity to share. :-)

Ellen - Thank you so much for taking the time to let us know more about you and for calling on such short notice Dr. Rick!

Interview: Dr. Bilich

I am so excited to publish my first interview on the blog at Long Island New York Headshots: Professional headshots for professional people. Dr. Bilich is such an interesting woman. I was fascinated to learn about "tapping" I knew nothing about this. I learned so much from her in the short time she was here for a headshot.  Continue reading to learn more.

Can you tell us why you came in for a headshot? How did you find out about EllenWolffPhotography?

I needed a headshot for various professional reasons--to send out to media and conference coordinators when they asked for a photo, to use on my website and Linkedin, to use on the cover of a book I am working on. I found out about Ellen Wolff Photography through an internet search. I called, liked what I heard and booked an appointment.

Where can we find out more about you? Do you have online resources or a website? How do people find out about you?

I am a clinical psychologist.  I recently threw out my old website and started over. The new website - MarionBilich.com is still under construction, but I've completed enough for people to get a flavor of what I'm going to do.  It's a great starting point for people interested in learning about the benefits of energy psychology and about learning to listen to their own inner wisdom instead of always relying on outside authorities. My resource section is almost complete and I will be adding various videos I'm creating to help people understand the basic concepts of energy psychology.

Tell us something you want us to know about what you do, something most folks don't ask and you wish they would. A special skill you have...

I have the ability to take difficult psychological and scientific concepts and explain them in ways that make sense to people who don't have a background in those areas.  I've been doing this for years with my writing, but have begun learning how to use video to explain these ideas.

What has led up to your most recent project?

I decided I wanted to learn how to create videos so I could introduce a wider audience than I can reach in my private practice to an exciting new field called "energy psychology"  Using the techniques of one type of energy psychology, called "Emotional Freedom Technique" (EFT), I have watched people overcome problems they have been struggling with for years in just a few sessions.  What I love about these techniques is that, once learned, they are easy to do on your own. They are empowering.

What's the best part about the next thing you're doing?

I am at a stage in my life where I don't have to work for a living.  I'm semi-retired. So I can just explore the things I love. One of the things I love is educating people about psychology and spirituality and another love is creating video.  So I am combining the two together.  Pure joy!

What was the last book you read for fun?

I'm always reading a lot of books at the same time. I love Science Fiction and just  finishing  A Fire Upon the Deep by Victor Vinge.  I am also reading Made to Stick: Why Some Ideas Survive and Others Come Unstuck by Chip Heath and Dan Heath.  It fascinates me to learn why some ideas just catch on. What is it that makes one idea catch on and another not.

Coffee or tea?

I love good strong coffee.  I'm a bit of a coffee snob--dark roast organic coffee, fresh ground and made in a French press is my coffee of choice. I only drink one cup a day but I savor that cup.
